Foundational HotDocs Advance Terms
The following terms appear in the order in which they occur in the basic HotDocs Advance workflow.

1. | Template | A reusable HotDocs application containing boiler plate text and HotDocs logic you build in HotDocs Author; HotDocs uses the template, along with user-supplied answer data, to assemble a customized document. |
2. | Work group | A shared folder to provide users access to templates and enable collaboration with colleagues within the group. |
3. | Work item | A named entity in HotDocs Advance that enables entry and editing of answer data, and assembly of documents from that data, for a specific template. |
4. | Quick document | A quickly accessible template that enables you to complete an interview and download a document without saving data to Advance. |
5. | Interview | A series of questions used to gather data from template users. |
6. | Assemble | To create a document by processing a HotDocs template in combination with a set of answers. |
7. | Document | The assembled, customized document. |
