Downloading a Template
You can download a template from HotDocs Advance. This is useful if you lose your original template files or wish to compare versions.
Downloaded templates are packaged as zip files. Once you extract the zip file you can import the files into HotDocs Author and edit, test assemble and upload the template as normal. If a template has multiple versions in Advance, you can download the version(s) you need.
To view the Manage Templates page you must have the Site Administrator, Content Administrator or Author role.
To download a template
- In the Administration section, click
Manage templates. - From the list of templates, select the template you wish to download.
- In the Details pane, click
Download beside the version of the template you wish to download. - Locate the downloaded zip file on your own machine.
- Extract the files.
You can now import the template into HotDocs Author.
