Creating a New Site Administrator Using a Site Administrator From a Different Tenancy

You can create a new Site Administrator using a Site Administrator account from a different tenancy.

For example, imagine you have two existing tenancies, Sales and Marketing. Sales has a Site Administrator user account, jane.hodges@example.com. You can create a new Site Administrator in Marketing based on the jane.hodges@example.com user account by following the steps below.

If you create a new Site Administrator account by using an existing account, the two accounts are not linked. For example, in the case of the example above, changes to the jane.hodges@example.com user in Tenancy A will not make changes to the user in Tenancy B.

Prerequisites

  • Create a Tenancy – Advance must have at least two tenancies before you can create a Site Administrator using an administrator from another tenancy
  • Create a Site Administrator – one of your tenancies must have an existing Site Administrator before you can use it to create a Site Administrator in another tenancy

To create a Site Administrator

  1. Log in to the Advance Root Application.
  2. Click Manage Tenancies.
  3. Click Details next to the tenancy for which you want to create a new Site Administrator.
  4. Click Provision a new Site Administrator from existing users.
  5. Click Select user next to the user account you wish to use.
  6. Click Finish.

Advance creates a new Site Administrator for your tenancy, using the selected Site Administrator account.
