Viewing the HotDocs Advance Log Files

Default log location

The Logs directory, by default, is in the root directory for your Advance deployment. Typically this will be C:\inetpub\wwwroot\Logs. If you have modified the log location settings in the Advance installer configuration settings file, the logs will be in your specified custom location.

Log file naming

Each Advance application generates its own log file, which is prefixed with the name of the application. For example, the Advance root application writes to log files with the naming format of HdaRoot_{date}.log.

Logs for Active Directory

The Active Directory user synchronization process creates a separate log file for each AD-enabled tenancy. The logs are in a subdirectory under your main Logs directory (see above). This will typically be C:\inetpub\wwwroot\Logs\\AD\. Each tenancy has its own log file, with a naming format of {tenancy}_{date}.log which will cover a single day. These log files are retained for 48 hours.
