Importing User Groups from Active Directory

You can import user groups from Active Directory into your HotDocs Advance tenancy in the Administration pane of HotDocs Advance.

Prerequisites

• Create an Active Directory tenancy – to import Active Directory users, you must have an Active Directory tenancy
• Site Administrator – you must have the site administrator role to create a new user group.

To import user accounts from Active Directory

1. In the Administration pane, click Manage user groups
2. Click the Import Active Directory group button.
3. In the search field, type the name of the group you want to import.
4. Click the Search button; a list of Active Directory groups appears.
5. Select the checkbox next to group you want to import.
6. Click the Import button.

The Active Directory group now appears in the user groups list. Users groups imported from Active Directory are marked with an AD icon. If you navigate to the Manage Users section, you can see that the users from the imported group appear in the Users list.
