Creating a Quick Document

To download an assembled document, you must first choose a quick document template or create a work item.

When you create a new quick document, HotDocs Advance launches an interview for the selected template. When you finish the interview, Advance assembles any documents using your interview answers. Once you have downloaded your documents they are no longer accessible and Advance does not store your answer data.

Once you download the document you create, you cannot reopen the interview or retrieve your answers. If you want to revisit your documents or collaborate with colleagues you should create a work item.

To create a quick document

1. From the Quick documents pane, select a Quick document group.
2. Select a template to assemble.
3. Click Create document.
4. Once you have completed the questions in the interview, click Finish.
5. In the pop-up window, select the documents you wish to download.
6. Once you have downloaded your documents, click Go to templates page.

You are redirected to the templates page. Any data you entered or documents you assembled are no longer accessible.

If you click Return or navigate away from the interview your data will be lost.
