Create a New Root User using an Active Directory account
If you want to create an entirely new user account (non-Active
Directory) for the new root user, see Create
a New Root User.
You can create a new root
user in the Advance root
application.
To create a new root user
- Log
in to the Advance Root Application.
- Click the Root users
link.
- Click the Create a new root UNP User link.
- Enter the following details:
- AD user name – the
user name of the Active Directory user you want to be a root admin
- Root role type – the
type of root role for the new user; either:
- None – the user
does not have a root role
- Root admin – the
user can perform all actions in root
- Root user manager
– the user can only manage users
- Root provisioning
– the user can only create, deactivate, and delete tenancies
- Click the Create button.
The new root user appears in the Root
Users list.
