Configuring iManage Work to Connect with HotDocs Advance

HotDocs Advance is an iManage Universal Application. You can configure iManage to connect with Advance, then users can save assembled documents to your organization's iManage Work application.

Some of the following instructions refer to actions within the iManage environment and were correct at time of publication but may since have changed.

Prerequisites

Before you install Advance, you must add your iManage domain name to the UiSiteSettings.AppSettings.CspCustomSources setting in the HdaInstallerSettings.json file.

If you have already installed Advance, edit the settings file and perform a settings update to Advance, amending the HdaInstallerSettings.json file to add your iManage domain name to UiSiteSettings.AppSettings.CspCustomSources.

To configure the HotDocs Advance Application in iManage Work:

You must have an iManage Work administrator role to configure iManage.

When adding an application using the manual configuration option, Advance requires the following information to integrate successfully:

  • API Key - HotDocs suggests using a GUID

Make a note of the API key and API secret, you must enter these when editing the Site Settings in Advance
