SMS Code Authentication for Client Interviews Overview
You use SMS code authentication to add a layer of security to your client interviews to prevent unauthorized access. When your client clicks the client interview link, they are prompted to enter a code sent via SMS before they can access the interview.
This feature is best suited to larger organizations using Advance and requires competency with Azure AD B2C to configure.
Overview
It is often the case that client interviews are used to gather confidential information. Access to the client interview should therefore be restricted to the intended recipient only. Adding an extra layer of security using SMS code authentication requires the client to enter a code sent via SMS before Advance grants access to the interview.
Prerequisites
SMS code authentication is an additional feature of Advance and must be activated in your tenancy. Contact your account manager if you would like to add SMS authentication for client interviews to your Advance subscription.
- Azure Active Directory B2C must be configured for your Advance tenancy.
- SMS code authentication for client interviews must be activated in Site Settings.
Common Tasks
Among others, the SMS code authentication feature enables you to perform the following common tasks:
Workflow
When you create a client interview, you can choose to add additional layers of authentication for security. If you choose to use SMS authentication, you need to enter the client's cellphone number into the client details before sending the client interview. The client then enters the last four digits of their telephone number when accessing the link to the client interview. A six-digit code is sent via SMS to their device. Advance displays the interview once the code is entered correctly.
If you choose not to require authentication the client will be able to access the interview without entering a passphrase or SMS code.
