Custom install settings are HotDocs-specific command line options you can use when installing HotDocs Author unattended (silent install) or when using an .lst file to customize an Author installation.

The following table includes a list of settings you can use when performing a HotDocs Author silent installation (and when editing an .lst file for customizing a HotDocs Author installation for UK or international use):

LICENSEKEY The license key used during installation to authorize the HotDocs software.
TEXT_FORMATS The value written to HKLM\SOFTWARE\HotDocs\Author\Defaults\Text Formats. By default it is: LIKE THIS~Like This~Like this~like this~Like a This

TF_FORMATS The value written to HKLM\SOFTWARE\HotDocs\Author\Defaults\True False Formats. By default it is: yes/no~true/false
LIST_FORMATS The value written to HKLM\SOFTWARE\HotDocs\Author\Defaults\Repeat Formats. By default it is: a, b and c~A, b and c~A, B and C~A, B AND C~a, b or c~a, b, and c~a; b; and c~a, and b~a, b
DEFAULT_INPUT_MASKS The value written to HKLM\SOFTWARE\HotDocs\Author\Defaults\Text Patterns. By default it is: 999-99-9999~(999) 999-9999~99:99 am~99:99 a.m.~99:99
INSTALLSVNPLUGIN Specify "False" to prevent installation of the Subversion source control plugin. The default value is "True" and the SVN plugin will be installed.
DEFAULTWORKSPACEDIR A directory path. Author will install the default workspace in this location. For example, C:\HotDocs\Workspaces.
VARIABLEDICTIONARYLOCATION A directory path. Author searches for a variable dictionary at this location, and if found copies it into a new workspace or any workspace opened by the user.
