Manually Sharing a Component File with a Template

If you want a template to have access to another template's component file, you can select the target component file within the Template Properties dialog.

To manually share a component file with a template

1. Open the Template Properties dialog.
2. Select the Component File drop-down arrow and select a component file. This is the component file your template now draws upon when you add components to your template.

Using a shared component file for multiple templates causes those templates to also share a Component Studio window when you open them for editing at the same time.
