Using the Default Interview

If you choose to generate a default interview, HotDocs asks the variables in the order they are processed in the template.

If you want to design your own interview you can create a custom interview computation.

To use the default interview

  1. Open the Template Properties window.
  2. Select the Interview Behavior tab.
  3. Select Generate default interview if it's not already selected.

For a text template, the default interview is based on the order HotDocs processes the template and includes headers/footers, text boxes, footnotes etc.
