Create Templates for Use with HotDocs Cloud Services

While the basic principles of creating templates for use in Cloud Services remain the same as those used when you create a template for use in a desktop environment, there are some significant differences that you should be aware of when creating or converting a template for use in the Cloud. Among those are how you add an expiration date to a template.

In addition, how you make your template available in the Cloud differs from the method of publishing used for the desktop environment. If you have been used to publishing templates for use on HotDocs Server, you should be aware that you do not use the Publishing Wizard to make your templates available to Cloud Services. Instead, you use an upload plug-in that you can access by right-clicking a template, then clicking Upload.

If you want to add an expiration date to your template, you need to first use the Publishing Wizard to add the expiration date; however, you will then still need to upload your template to Cloud Services using the upload plug-in.
