Version Control

HotDocs Hub enables you to see a history of all versions of a template uploaded to Hub.

Overview

Subsequent uploads after the first upload of a template to the HotDocs Hub create a new Version of the template. Versions are a history of uploaded copies of a template. They enable you to revert to an older copy of a template, if necessary. There is a list of all versions of a template on the Template Details page.

Workflow

Hub automatically creates a new version of a template when you upload a new copy of a template that already exists in Hub. You will typically only need to use template versions if you decide to rollback a template to a previous version. For example, if a more recent version of a template contains an error.
