Register the Service Type

Before you can use the HotDocs Service Broker, you must register the service. You do this using the SmartObject Services Tester application.

To Register the Service Type

1. Open the SmartObjects Services Tester (typically located at C:\Program Files (x86)\K2 blackpearl\Bin).
2. Click Register ServiceType.
3. In the Service drop-down menu, select HotDocs.K2.Broker.Core.HotDocsService.
4. Type a name for the Service in the Display Name field, e.g. HotDocsServiceBroker.
5. Type a description for the Service in the Description field.
6. Click Add. The new Service Type appears in the ServiceObject Explorer folder.
