Changing How HotDocs Displays an Answer Summary
You can use HotDocs Options to change how HotDocs displays the Answer Summary when you test a template.
To change how HotDocs displays an Answer Summaries
- Open a workspace.
- From the Workspace Explorer taskbar, click Options.
- From the left pane, select Answer Summary Options.
- Use the Columns spin control to select the type of column layout you want:

- If you choose 1 column you set the following properties:

- Indent prompts under dialog titles: Include a tab between the column's margin and the prompt to make the dialog titles and prompts appear hierarchal.
- Precede prompts with bullet: Insert a bullet character before each prompt.
- Indent answers under prompts: Include a tab between the column's margin and the answer to make the prompts and answers appear hierarchal.
- Precede answers with bullet: Insert a bullet character before each answer.
- If you choose 2 columns you can set the following properties:

- Borders: Select this property to have borders show around each answer row.
- Percent of width taken by prompt: The answer shares a line with the prompt. You can use the arrows to choose how much of that line is used to display the prompt.
- Click OK.
