Changing How HotDocs Displays an Answer Summary

You can use HotDocs Options to change how HotDocs displays the Answer Summary when you test a template.

To change how HotDocs displays an Answer Summaries

1. Open a workspace.
2. From the Workspace Explorer taskbar, click Options.
3. From the left pane, select Answer Summary Options.
4.  Use the Columns spin control to select the type of column layout you want:

• • If you choose 1 column you set the following properties:
  • • Indent prompts under dialog titles: Include a tab between the column's margin and the prompt to make the dialog titles and prompts appear hierarchal.
    • Precede prompts with bullet: Insert a bullet character before each prompt.
    • Indent answers under prompts: Include a tab between the column's margin and the answer to make the prompts and answers appear hierarchal.
    • Precede answers with bullet: Insert a bullet character before each answer.
  • If you choose 2 columns you can set the following properties:
  • • Borders: Select this property to have borders show around each answer row.
    • Percent of width taken by prompt: The answer shares a line with the prompt. You can use the arrows to choose how much of that line is used to display the prompt.

5. Click OK.
