Installing a HotDocs Plugin

To install a HotDocs plugin, you need to select the plugin during the installation process.

To install a plugin when installing Author

  1. Follow the standard HotDocs Author installation steps until you reach the Custom Setup dialog.
  2. Select the plugin you wish to install, then click Next.
  3. Click Install.
  4. Click Finish.

You have now added the ability to use Author's version control plugin. To use a particular version control system, follow the instructions for Linking a Workspace to a Version Control System.

To install a plugin after installing Author

 

Depending on your version of Windows, there are a few ways to install a HotDocs plugin.

To install a plugin through the control panel
  1. Open Control Panel.
  2. Click Programs > Programs and Features.
  3. From the list, select HotDocs Author and then click Change.
  4. Click Next and select Modify.
  5. Select the plugin you wish to install.
  6. Click Install.
To install a plugin through HotDocs settings
  1. Open Settings.
  2. Click System > Apps & Features.
  3. From the list, select HotDocs Author and then click Modify.
  4. Click Next and select Modify.
  5. Select the plugin you wish to install.
  6. Click Install.
