Watching Work Items Overview
Watching work items enables you to track certain changes users make to work items. When a user performs specific interactions on a work item you are watching, Advance emails you a notification.
For example, if you send a client interview and watch the item, Advance can notify you when the client completes the interview, enabling you to follow up promptly.
Overview
Watching work items enables users to receive email notifications when another user performs specific actions on a work item. This is useful as it enables you to keep track of a work item. For example, you might want to be notified when documents are assembled on a specific work item. Once Advance notifies you of a new work item version, you can then access and review any assembled documents.
Advance notifies you when the following changes occur:
- Another user saves and exits the interview
- An external user completes a client interview
- Another user completes a new work item version
- Another user deletes the work item
- The work item's workflow status updates
When Advance notifies you with an update to a work item you watch, the email displays a link to the work item. This enables you to view the changes immediately after you login to Advance.
