System Requirements for HotDocs Advance

Before installing HotDocs Advance, make sure your deployment and end user environments meet the necessary system requirements.

Deployment Environment

Hardware Requirements

• 2 or more processors (2.5 GHz or faster)
• 8GB RAM
• 100GB disk space

Software Requirements

HotDocs Core Assembly Service

• Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015
• .Net Framework 4.6.2 or later

End users

Minimum screen resolution:

• 1280x800

HotDocs Advance supports the following web browsers:

• Microsoft Internet Explorer 11
• Microsoft Edge
• Google Chrome
• Safari
• Mozilla Firefox

Template Authors

Users that create HotDocs templates require the HotDocs Author desktop application. It should be installed after Advance is deployed. Author enables users to create templates and upload them to Advance. See Author system requirements for more information.

HotDocs Developer 11 Compatibility

It is recommended that you upgrade to HotDocs Author when using Advance.

HotDocs Advance is also backwards compatible with HotDocs Developer 11. HotDocs Developer 11 is a desktop application used to create templates. It has the following software requirements:

• Microsoft .Net 4.6.2

Accessibility

We do the following to ensure interviews are accessible:

• We make an effort to follow general public standards designed to make web applications accessible and compatible with assistive technology
• Avoid relying solely on colors in the user interface to represent behavior
• Accept bug reports and prioritize fixes for any issues that interfere with a users ability to interact with the interview using assistive technology
