Linking Variables to a Dialog

When you add a variable to a dialog in Component Studio, you can choose whether to link the variable to the dialog.

You can also choose to link a variable to a dialog at the time you create a variable in the HotDocs Field Editor.

To link to or unlink variables from a dialog

  1. Open Component Studio.
  2. In the Components list, double-click on the dialog to open it for editing.

By default, the variables are linked to the dialog.

  1. Click on the Behavior tab.
  2. Select or clear Link contents to this dialog, depending on your need.
