You can edit a Repeated region to sort an answer list before HotDocs places it into the assembled document.
To sort a list of answers
- Open a template for editing.
- Create a new repeated region or place the cursor inside an existing REPEAT field.
- In the HotDocs Field Editor, click the Advanced Properties expander.
- From the Sort repetitions by this variable drop-down, select the variable you want to use to sort the list by.
- Choose how you want the list ordered:
- Sort ascending (A-Z) – orders from lowest value at the top to highest at the bottom (or alphabetically from the top down) using the variable you select
- Sort descending (Z-A) – orders from highest value at the top to lowest at the bottom (or alphabetically from the bottom up) using the variable you select
