Interviews Overview

HotDocs interviews enable you to assemble completed documents from templates uploaded to HotDocs Hub.

For example, if a template author uploads an Employment Contract template to Hub, you can load the interview for the Employment Contract template. When the interview loads, you enter answers into the interview. When you finish the interview, Hub creates a completed document – based on your answers – for you to download.

Overview

Interviews are a series of questions used to gather data that HotDocs generates from a template. In HotDocs Hub, you can launch interviews for any template uploaded to Hub for which you have user access permissions. In the interview, you supply answers for the series of questions asked. The questions may ask for text, numbers, a multiple choice selection, or a true/false selection. When you finish an interview, HotDocs assembles a completed document based on the answers you supply in the interview. You can then download the completed document.

Common Tasks

Work Items

If work item functionality is enabled in your instance of the Hub, you can also load an interview and assemble a completed document when you create a work item.
