Templates Overview
Templates are reusable HotDocs applications created in HotDocs Developer; the Templates section of HotDocs Hub enables you to interact with HotDocs templates uploaded to Hub.

Overview
Once a template is uploaded to Hub, you can interact with it in the Templates section of the Hub UI. This section enables you to view the templates available in Hub, view template details (including different template versions), and edit template details.
Common Tasks
Among others, the Templates section of Hub enables you to perform the following common tasks:
- Viewing the Templates List
- Viewing Template Details
- Editing Template Details
- Setting a Forward Publishing Date
Workflow
Once you upload a template to Hub, you can view and edit its details. After uploading, you will typically add the template to a template group. Once the template is added to a template group, any user with access to that template group can use the template to create work items or perform interviews.

Managing Templates
You primarily use the Templates section of Hub to manage the templates uploaded to Hub from Developer by Template Authors. In the Templates section of Hub, you can:
Organizing Templates into Groups

Version Control
Template versions are a history of uploaded copies of a specific template.
For example, if you upload a template named Contract A to HotDocs Hub for the first time, version 1 of that template appears in Hub. If you subsequently make changes to the Contract A template in HotDocs Developer and re-upload the template to Hub, version 2 of the template appears in Hub. Both version 1 and 2 of the template exist in Hub, with version 2 being the live version. The next set of uploaded changes result in version 3 of the Contract A template appearing in Hub, and so on. However, Hub enables you to rollback to any previous version of the template. For example. you can revert the template from version 4 back to version 2.
