Install the Upload Plugin for HotDocs Developer

Before you can upload HotDocs templates from HotDocs Developer to the Template Hub, you must install the Upload plugin.

If you do not have the Upload Plugin installer, please contact your HotDocs Sales representative.

Prerequisites

Before you can install the Upload Plugin to upload templates, you must install the following items

If installing the Upload Plugin on Windows 7, Windows Powershell 3.0 must first be installed.

Install Microsoft .Net Framework

Before the Template Hub API can be installed, you must install and configure the Microsoft .Net Framework.

Installation

You must save the Upload Plugin installer locally for it to install properly. Do not run it from a network location.

  1. Double-click the Upload Plugin installer (.msi file).
  2. Click Next. Optionally click Change and enter a new installation location for the plugin. The new location must be the HotDocs Developer installation directory. By default, this is C:\Program Files (x86)\HotDocs.
  3. Click Next then click Install.
  4. When the installation is complete, click Finish.
  5. To check that the plugin has installed:
    1. Open HotDocs Developer.
    2. Navigate to Help > About HotDocs
    3. Click Version Info.

    4. In the Product Name column, HotDocs.UploadPlugin is listed.
