Adding a Component to a Dialog

After you create a dialog, you can use the Dialog Editor in Component Studio to add existing components (including other dialogs and dialog elements) to the dialog.

You can also create new components in the dialog using either Component Studio or the HotDocs Field Editor.

Add a component to a dialog in Component Studio

1. Open Component Studio.
2. In the Components list to the left, double-click on the dialog to open it for editing.
3. To add a component to the dialog, from the Components tab on the right, drag and drop the component into the Contents tab.

To help you locate the component you want to add to the dialog, in the Components tab, you can use the search box, component type drop-down list, and sort button.
