Creating a Dialog Using the HotDocs Field Editor

The most common way to create a dialog is to use Component Studio; however, you can also create a dialog using the HotDocs Field Editor, either by placing a dialog in the interview or typing the name of a new dialog in the Link to Dialog property.

To create a dialog with the Linked Dialog property

1. Open a template.
2. Add a placeholder field for a variable.
3. In the Linked Dialog property, type the Name of a new dialog you want to link the variable to; then click Create and Link. (If you want to link the variable to an existing dialog, choose that dialog from the drop-down list.)
