Configuring Advance for Multi-Template Work Items

Multi-template work items allow users to attach more than one template to a single work item. Before users can use this feature, an administrator must enable it at work group level.

Preview Feature
The implementation of multi-template work items in the current version is a preview.

As a preview feature, multi-template work items are intended for evaluation and early adoption. Feature behavior, limitations and integration support may change before general availability.

The following features are not currently available when using work items with multiple templates:
• iManage integration
• Client interviews
• Image variables (answer packages are not supported)
• Work item versions
• Default answers

The above features are currently being worked on and will be released incrementally.

You must have a Site Administrator or Content Administrator role to configure a work group.

To configure a work group for multi-template work items

  1. When creating a work group, or editing an existing one, select the checkbox Multi-template work items.
  2. Review the warning about unsupported features.
  3. Save your changes.

The work group now supports multi-template work items and displays the new UI preview. Users in this work group can attach multiple templates to a work item and control how those templates are combined within the work item.
